In the past, to use both AI Voice and AI SMS two separate phone numbers were required. Not anymore. Follow this step by step guide and we’ll have you rocking AI SMS, AI Voice AND manual SMS with the same number in no time!

It may seem overwhelming at first glance, but follow this guide and you’ll be just fine.

The Two Parts

There are two parts to this setup. First we need to switch to Twilio as our GHL phone provider (to be able to use zip trunks) and second we need to set up the zip trunk and import the phone number into Assistable.

Connecting Twilio

Let’s switch the provider over to Twilio.

BEWARE: If you have an existing account with existing phone numbers that you want to switch over you should know that according to GHL, this transition will delete all phone numbers in that subaccount. I have noticed on accounts that I did this with, the numbers were made available to be added again right after the switch, . . . but don’t bank on this.

Log into your Twilio. https://login.twilio.com
